Beckham is in the squad according to the BBC.

Maybe you were thinking of under-21 summer absentee David Bentley?

    Two things:

First, Billionaire Flavio Briatore wants to buy Queens Park Rangers.

Second, Beckham is talking about playing two games in two days next week, with an intercontinental flight in-between.

God knows if he pulls this off, but if he does, he'll get a ton of respect.

Yeah I saw the quote where he talked about David right before a graph about Becks.

I hope this isn't a d_b or on another board:

Report: Materazzi discloses his World Cup insult

MILAN, Italy (AP) _ Italy defender Marco Materazzi finally disclosed what he said to Zinedine Zidane in the World Cup final that provoked the French star to retaliate with a head-butt.

"I prefer the whore that is your sister," Materazzi said during an interview in next week's edition of Italian magazine TV Sorrisi E Canzoni, according to Italian news reports Saturday. He previously acknowledged he had insulted Zidane's sister...
France coach Raymond Domenech this month lauded Materazzi's strategy for getting Zidane sent off.
"I say 'bravo' to him," the coach said.

Not a bad insult, I have a sister and wouldn't be angry, but I don't know if that would make me want to head-butt someone and possibly cost my country The Cup.

McBride scored today for Fulham in their 2-1 loss to Boro, but unfortunately he dislocated his knee in the process.

Dammit, I need to make a substitution on my team then.

By the way, nice bounce back by Spurs today.

Oh, and that Beckham fellow has two assists already for the Galaxy against New York.

Not sure how long the dislocation will keep him out.

Indeed, it was nice to see Spurs bounce back with 4, but then again it was against Derby.

And speaking of Derby, according to yanks-abroad, Derby has signed Eddie Lewis from Leeds: http://www.yanks-abroad.com/content.php?mode=news&id=3311

Of course Doc. Nice goal by Torres. Made Ben Haim look a little slow.

    John Terry seems very angry.

Hopefully Torres will be OK for the second half. Got taken down pretty hard.

He seemed to be walking off ok. They may want to be careful with him and bring on Crouch, but I'd say they'll let him go at least 15 minutes to see how he fares.
