Agreed. As much as it would be nice to have Rossi play for the U.S., if he doesn't want to, then the team should just let him go and concentrate on developing the young talent here-which is more than eager to play for the national team.

That article kind of sucks. It assumes that everyone there is there to see Beckham. Then they showed the face cards and a guy wearing an FC Dallas kit holding it! Come on. Dallas fans did the same thing when Youri was playing for RBNY and he was seen on television at a World Cup game.

Oh, I know that Pastor. I just like seeing the Brits reaction to it all.

And the story said the two teams tied. Very strange.
That guy in the picture up above was walking around the stadium before the game and then moving around in the stands. At one point, a bunch of people became enraged with him for making it so they couldn't see.

He's not property of anyone until Feb. 1, his 21st birthday. If he hasn't received a senior cap by then (like, say, during the US Nats' fall tour of Europe) or applied to FIFA for the one-time nationality change, he counts as Italian due to his U-21 cap.

There's still hope, though. All Rossi needs to do is look at how Antonio Cassano and Enzo Maresca vanished from the Italy radar once they moved to Spain. If he wants PT, he'll have to beat out Jon Dahl Tomasson, Guille Franco (remember him?), Jose Mari and some guy named Nihat.

It's also worth noting ManYoo put a clause into the sale that gives them right of first refusal if Villarreal decides to sell Rossi.

And the first SuperLiga semifinal is set. Houston beats D.C. United and gets Pachuca in a rematch of the Concacaf Champions Cup semifinal.

I remember those two games. This one's going to be a lot of fun.

America is beating Morelia in the last pool game right now. If that holds up, L.A. plays D.C. in the other semi.

Well, I stand corrected them. I didn't realize that the U-21 appearance counted. I thought it went to citizenship. But, I am wrong and thus accept this knowledge as so.

Has Dave Beckham returned to England? I've not heard a word about him since the big event.

Once again, you can't live up to your own tagline. How about a little more indifference and a little less contempt? Go away, asshole.

Interesting interview with Grant Wahl and Freddy Adu:
