At least some of it is the coach, Dale Mitchell. He and his teams underwhelmed at the youth level, so naturally the CSA decided to hand him the senior team job.

Canada obviously has the talent to succeed. It's too bad the people in charge of the game up there make the USSF look competent.

Am I the only one who wishes American sportswriters would do this sort of thing more often?

You're a billionaire owner of an EPL squad. Your manager has just quit. What do you do?

If you're Mikey Ashley, you head to NYC.

(How big of a cooler does this joint have if it had more than 200 bottles of champagne ready to serve?)

If I had the money, I'd have done the same thing.

And most places have gigantic walk-in fridges in the back for those purposes. They probably got advance warning he was coming, and stocked up.

Boo, you're ruining my image of busboys running from club to club in Chelsea with fists full of hundies, yelling "Who's got Cristal? Got any Dom?"

He's not fast, he's got a lot of "pace." :D

    Hull 2-1 Newcastle United.

Ashley and the board was MIA. And there was a near brawl in stoppage.

    Brawl between who?

    Supporters? Players? Coaches?
