Yup. Honduras didn't want to be there, not only because of the weather, but also because it was already eliminated from finishing in the top four in the Octagonal.

Save this for Mexico. It might compensate for the inevitable bags of blood and bags of urine thrown at American players at Azteca. Maybe the horrid faction among the El Tri fan base will be too chilly to shout slurs and throw beer, bottles and anything else they can toss.

The game really shouldn't have been played in those conditions. I'd at least have more respect for US Soccer if it came out and told the rest of CONCACAF "fuck you, this is payback" instead of being mealy mouthed and pretending everything about this is OK. Come out with a long list of road games played in unsafe conditions and lead an effort within CONCACAF to establish safety standards with teeth. If this leads to meaningful change in how things are done in the region, then great, but that's not the message coming out of Soccer House and this just looks like more threat escalation that will encourage the rest of CONCACAF to do the same.

The Mexico win was good for us. We really need to be in a position where the Costa Rica match is irrelevant— that means that they need to tie or lose to Canada and we need to beat Panama.

Wasn't until probably the third replay watching it live that I figured out how it went in. Crazy shit.

Bit of a hangover for the Canuckistani lads last night after the US game but a decent effort.

Was honestly beginning to wonder if Watford was ever going to score again, much less win. Massive three points at Villa today, especially since Burnley got plucky and hammered Brighton on the coast.

Spurs, who any fan such as me would admit are not very good with the notable exceptions of Son and Kane, have now swept City this season. Go figure.

I'm not a morning person so I only really started paying attention after Watford scored but Villa is in a sizable slump. Since the last international break they've drawn vs. Leeds and lost to PIFcastle and Watford. There's time to correct it, but they need to get some points against Brighton and Southampton, because the road turns up quite a bit down the stretch with Spurs and Liverpool in April and Man City on the final day.

Just want to show some fucking love for you calling them PIFcastle. Well played, friend.
