The Mexican anthem sounds like the soundtrack to a river rapids ride at a Six Flags. Change my mind.

Yesterday on the Cape, a guy named John Berylson from the Boston suburb of Wellesley, died in a single car accident. I mention this only because he was the owner of Millwall FC. I didn't know that club could be owned.

Berylson bought the dips. Good on him. And say what you will of Millwall, but they were on the cusp of a Premiership promotion this year, which would've made him much richer.

Sadly, you can't take your profits to the afterlife.

End of the De Gea era at Man United. He was and still is a hell of a shot stopper but unfortunately the game has passed him by.

I don't mean sound callous, but it's amazing that they've had the injured referee in US-Canada on the sideline for six minutes without moving him and continuing play. He's got a bloody face, but it's not like he has a broken bone.

But look at how that ball hit him. Could have had some concussion concerns.

Funny how just as we got to halftime of a U.S.-Canada soccer match, a hockey game almost broke out.

Good to know the Americans' tradition of strong play in goal remains intact.

Matt Turner stopped a PK in the Jamaica match in group play that would have put Jamaica up 2-0.

In the quarterfinal against Canada, he saves two in the shootout, including one from a guy who beat him on a PK during the match.

Not sure he's up there with Tim Howard – yet – but the tradition between the pipes continues. Thank goodness.

Not a high quality soccer match last night.
