With the new EPL season starting in a matter of hours, time for the annual thread.

My top 4 — City, Liverpool, Man United and Arsenal. Wolves, Sheffield United and Forest to be relegated.

    And fuck Alexi Lalas.

I hope Matt Turner can keep Forest out of the drop zone.

I guess the French players were too worried about their brand.

That was some hissy fit by Salah after being subbed off. CR7 level stuff.

Speaking of CR7 … I am damn tired of all the content about him being pumped out by Fox Soccer and ESPN FC on social media. All the fanboys drive up engagement rates so high that posts about him are obviously being used to gun up the monthly numbers. Dude plays in a league below League One in overall talent, but he gets more content than the entire EPL.

It gets crazy clicks. I was speaking with someone on the social media side of a soccer website a few months back who said that a random post with CR7 or Messi in the headline gets more clicks than anything else.

Clicks and tons of comments. A normal soccer post might get a few hundred. CR7 smiles during warmups? 4,500 comments.
