    Good match for once.

  3. Didn't catch the news on here, but anyone see Rangers Chairman Charles Green resigned a few weeks ago because of ties to former owner Craig Whyte to collude on with the newco.

In other SPL news, yet another plan to reform the game in Scotland by merging the SPL and SFL, keeping the league system intact, and introducing playoffs for the 11th-place SPL team, and the second, third, and fourth-place teams in the First Division.

Which was worse for the FA Cup, United skipping it in 1999-2000 or Gus Johnson/Ian Wright's call?

So so game, great finish by Watson.

I think Ian Wright dropped acid before the match.

Agreed. Other than shitting himself the first few times someone got close to the net, he did alright. I think someone told him to calm the F down at half since he wasn't blowing out his mic.
His play-by-play was OK other than that.

I disagree. The first half was a disaster for him and he has no instinct for the flow of the game. Even if he doesn't go crazy for no reason, his voice is flat for promising buildups and excited for non-events.

The comments on the live blog of the Guardian on Gus sent in from readers (most Brit expats here) were hilarious. As one pointed out, Gus has no comprehension of Wright's Cockney accent (hardly his fault), so half the time, the play by play guy has no idea what the color guy just said.

I only made it 48 seconds before I muted it. What a terrible idea to let him call any match.

  11. Used a VPN service to watch the ITV feed. Much better experience.

That ITV was considered preferable speaks volumes about how crap Fox's coverage must have been.
