Wondo is better than Findley, he can actually shoot, pass, and make diagonal runs.

Boyd should be on this Gold Cup roster. This is a lost opportunity for him. He needed this opportunity.

Yep, good take on Twellman, Kreis, Lassiter, etc. I was never a big fan of Findley, but Davies was turning into a beast before his accident.

Elsewhere, Belize says they were approached about fixing their game with the USA.

Go, Go (away, guy from the) U.S.A.! Certainly through (with Spurs)! Oh, it's incredible (that we wasted 6 million pounds on him)! You (probably could) write a script like this!

Avert your eyes from the Cuba goal if you have fond memories of Onyewu, though.

Just to share: Wigan is on their U.S. Tour and started with a 2-1 win over the Columbus Crew last night:

To find out I was not the only American cheering for the Latics was astounding. :)
Most there were Wigan transplants (about 15-20 total were at the match) with the farthest distance being from Dallas.

    A bearded Scotsman with a long-range goal(s)? Yes, I'll be posting that.

I'm not sure what the problem is, but former NYT columnist Murray Chass blames soccer -- and his old paper for covering it too much.

Old man yells "You kids get off my lawn, get a haircut and turn down that rock and roll music!"

Old New York Times baseball writer, who rages against newfangled things such as blogs and statistics, bemoans the New York Times acknowledging sports other than baseball and football (AMERICAN football, that is). Well, gosh.

Beautiful pass from Donovan to Shea for tonight's winning goal.
