By the way, fuck this Friday night/Tuesday night qualifier schedule. How remarkably, and yet utterly unsurprisingly, unfriendly to fans to avoid having games on a Saturday.

There is a band at Wembley for this match? Is this normal?

I just don't think it will happen because the powers that be will think that it will ultimately harm the EPL vis-a-vis the rest of Europe.

    Yep, completely normal.

Big clubs don't want Saturday/Wednesday schedule. This is a part of stupid settlement between UEFA and club association. Some matches were played on Saturday but none on Wednesday. Players report back to clubs tomorrow.

Oh, I know why they do it. They can still go fuck themselves. Especially with England using 8 p.m. kickoffs. It's a complete bitch to try to get home anywhere more than about 10 miles from Wembley after a game that ends at 10.

Not that that'll be an issue tonight, with most of the upper deck empty and England playing like shit.

Lampard from the spot levels it at 1-1, but Gerrard sent off a minute or two later with a second yellow.

Scotland dropped four points at home to Serbia and Macedonia. Over and done.

Agreed. If the cap is tight enough to actually have an effect, it will screw the top English clubs in European competition. I don't think the EPL will decide to let the top talent migrate to Spain and Italy to help Norwich and Wigan be a little more competitive.

The US could really be ahead right now, the Jamaican goalie has been great.
