U.S. has hit two posts and a crossbar. I just wish they'd get a goal because the longer they let Jamaica hang around, the worse the chances are of getting a result.

Well, that was a lovely free kick by Herculez.

The JAmaican goalie made all those saves in the first half and then let that one in? Geez.

Didn't need the 9-11 shout out there by Darke. But a nice goal.

I have the 75th minute for the Jermaine Jones red card.

I have the 84th for a second goal. Possibly by the USMNT, possibly by Jamaica.

Tim Howard was dropping some major F-bombs after that header just missed.

I feel like the easy reaction is to say that the U.S. backed off, but also Jamaica stopped just sitting back and letting them attack.

But dang, it sure looked like they backed off.

Well, it wasn't pretty in the second half, but 3 points are 3 points. So, I won't complain. Is the first match in October at Antigua or here? I know the final match is Guatemala here.

I find it really hard to root for this team. It's just damn close to unwatchable.

I've stumbled across pickup games that were played with more heart and cohesion than the US can muster in what was damn close to a must-win game.

Steve Cherundolo was the man of the match. Old fucker is so damn steady on defense and creative on the attack.

I also think Graham Zusi won himself a starting spot for the next two games. He was outstanding.

Finally, the next round of games is oh so huge. Antigua is all but out but I'm guessing they'll still try to win, and they've been tough at home, tying Jamaica and falling 1-0 to Guatemala. Meanwhile, Jamaica heads to Guatemala. Guatemala and the USA are in almost must-win situations. If they do both win, you have to wonder if the gentleman's agreement 0-0 tie will happen in Kansas City for the final qualifier.

Kind of strange they can win 1-0 at Italy, 1-0 at Mexico, and look brilliant up to the goal tonight, and look so awful the rest of the game.
