    Yeah, that was a corker finish for that one.

    Watched Kljestan go 90 for Anderlecht in a 0-0 draw at Milan. Remind me how he can play on the wing in the Champions League but Danny Williams somehow gets stuck on the wing for the US. If you still want Williams for his versatility and/or as an upgrade at D-mid (and I do), Kljestan could at least be a like-for-like sub for Torres.

    Sporting Kansas City hands New York its first home loss of the season, 2-0. Kansas City was unlucky not to be up 3-0 at the half, and not until the final 5-10 minutes did New York look dangerous.

    Just curious, does New York struggle to get fannies in the seats? Place seemed half empty. With first place on the line this late in the season, I was surprised.

    I don't have much experience with the MLS but I've been to that stadium and it's in a shitty location. That may have something to do with it.

    According to Soccer By Ives, the Red Bulls shitcanned their president of business operations last month because of poor ticket sales.

    And, of course, MLS is hot to add a second New York team.

    ::)

    MLS might be the first U.S. league that grows itself west to east instead of east to west. Don't know what that means, just thought I'd share.

    Good night for SKC, could've been even better. Portland was up 2-0 at San Jose before Wondolowski scored his 20th and 21st goals of the season for a 2-2 draw (which Portland could've stolen if Bright Dike hadn't botched a 1-on-1 at the death). Kansas City is three points behind San Jose in the Supporter's Shield race, which brings with it a possible home game for MLS Cup.

    So nice to be able to keep up with MLS again.

    I don't have the background to fully absorb the meaning of Hillsborough beyond what I've read about on Wikipedia. I can't comprehend the emotions that I would feel if anything as remotely tragic happened to Alabama. That YNWA with the card display was chilling.

    EBJT is now just Chelsea's Brave John Terry. He has retired from England.

    Leeds United takes down Everton in the League Cup! And they were on TV in the USA for the first time in a few years! Awesome!
