Home game against Spurs = nice payday for Leeds, and a decent shot of winning or at least forcing a replay.

Leeds has already had Everton, Southampton and Chelsea at home in the League Cup, so it would be a nice bounty for them if the vast majority of it hadn't gone into Papa Smurf Dickhead's back pocket ...

News Corp. is looking at turning FSC into an entertainment channel?

What does this mean for Fox Soccer Plus and my rugby matches!?!

The new New York Cosmos don't have a roster yet, but they've got a dream of a privately funded 25,000-seat soccer stadium and entertainment complex on Long Island.

This plan is the result of the Empire State Development Corporation's request for proposals for redevelopment of Belmont Park. It would supposedly be paid for by the Cosmos' Saudi Arabian ownership.

This stadium proposal appears to be in competition with Major League Soccer's plan for a similar facility in Flushing Meadow Park. That is also supposed to be privately funded by the as-yet-unknown owner of the currently nonexistent 20th MLS franchise.

Dunno if anyone saw this at the weekend, but one of the linesmen in the Arsenal-City game told the City players after the game to go and applaud the fans who paid the 62 quid.

The Premier League being the self-serving institution that it is, he was stood down from an FA Cup match on Tuesday.

Hopefully the video works for those not in the UK.

Maurice Edu loaned to a Turkish club where he can work on his smooth Twitter moves with the ladies (that's the only thing he did at Stoke).

Could he pick up an SJ 6 on a wet Tuesday night in Stoke? Because Messi couldn't.

Probably. The toothless Stokies loved when he quoted rap lyrics on Twitter like a 14-year-old.

Managerial madness has spread to Southampton.

It's no secret that I have no love for Southampton, so I'm thrilled about this. It has to turn them back into odds-on favorites for relegation.

Stupidest decision I've ever seen. They got 5 points from their first 11 games, but they've been moving up the table. They were headed for a perfectly respectable 13th or 14th. I don't know what the upper management expected: Champions League in the first season back?

Brek Shea to Stoke is apparently close.
