A swift kick to the ribs should be the punishment for any and all time wasting at all levels of soccer.

Can't forget that guy who fell as if shot with no one around him when U.S. played Ghana in last World Cup. Michael Bradley being allowed to run up and kick him in the ribs would have curbed that crap.

Sorry Bubbler, but after watching Villa play live in PDX last summer I've sort of grown fond of them. Wolves are hopeless and the only reason I even care about Stoke is because of Michael Owen.

Either Villa are incredibly bad, or incredibly young, or incredibly bad and young. Or, they never realized they were losing a franchise player when Marc Albrighton got hurt. ;D

Really, Lambert appeared to be a coup when they nabbed him from Norwich, and I think he's a good coach. It's just hard to understand what is going on with this team.

Randy Lerner owns them. That's all you need to know.

This. Yet another reason to root for Villa's demise.

And how about MK Dons today?

I'd be more excited about the first non-league win over a top-flight side in 24 years, if only Luton were anything like an actual non-league side. But such is the way of the Conference any more: It's much more like the fifth tier of the League than the first tier of the non-league. Crawley were the same way a couple years ago.

Wouldn't be surprised to see a few more results like this over the next few years.

Didn't Luton only leave the league in the first place due to financial problems? They're like Leeds and Portsmouth on steroids.

Brentford leads Chelski 1-0 at the half. And frankly, they have completely bossed the match. I'm sure that The result will be something like 4-1 to Chelski, but that was 45 minutes of inspired soccer.

Pretty much. They had a protracted period in administration that led to their being deducted 30 points after being relegated to League Two. They still nearly survived, but it was too much to overcome.

Speaking of Portsmouth, I spent two hours of my life that I'll never get back watching them lose 3-1 to a Hartlepool side who'd won twice all year and started the day 8 points back of 23rd-place Pompey. The clear highlight was the response of the Pompey fans to the Hartlepool contingent's spirited celebration of their second goal: You're nothing special, we lose every week.

Oldham 2-1 up on Liverpool at halftime. And something interesting might have happened in the middle game.

And Oldham pull it off. And they're not even a good League One team.
