I'd say that's accurate. Early goal from the USA, and then 70 minutes of fly-on-shit pressure from Honduras.

I'm curious who starts up top with Dempsey. Jozy Altidore continues to play well in Holland, but he's got to start putting some balls away for his country too.

Also saw a couple interesting takes on twitter yesterday regarding Michael Bradley. Captain in waiting?

"OK, we are all off to see the family's little nigger. He's a crazy head. "

What a bizarre comment. How does Balotelli stay with AC Milan after that?

I'm thinking Altidore and Gomez up front with Dempsey tucked in just behind them.

    How could he not be?

    Who are the other contenders?

I don't know, but this is the last big club that made sense for him. He grew up cheering for Milan. It may be his last good shot at getting his shit together that doesn't involve exile to a big money team in the middle of nowhere.

I do dislike announcers calling games via video.

Good grief, this three-man booth is a disaster. They keep talking over each other.

    Well....THAT was ugly.

Great 1st goal by Honduras...but man, it looked like the U.S. back 4 were trippin' over their dicks the whole match.

If elected POTUS, I promise to give Tim Howard immunity from prosecution for whipping the asses of his back line after matches like that.

Very weak/suspect in the back. I would really like to see Matt Besler start playing.
