Donovan back to LAG in March. Will miss Costa Rica and Mexico qualifiers. Not that there was a promise he'd be picked anyway.

    As if on cue: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21471924

A retrospective on a year in administration. One note: My ass were there 11,466 on Saturday. Looked considerably less than that.

Thanks for posting. Gave me a better idea of what's going on. As a fan, I feel for you having to watch your team go through all that.

    Whoops. Milan 2-0 Barcelona.

And oh by the way, both goals? Scored by former Portsmouth players. (It ain't much of a mystery how they got in the mess they're in.)

Based on the Twitter, it sounds like Donovan's USMNT career is over.

He spoke tonight as USC and said he'd like to be picked. But with little enthusiasm. And he's heading to Cambodia for 10 days.

A deserved win. Milan played with 11 behind the ball but was really dangerous on the counterattack and barca looked pretty toothless.

But boy was that a handball just before the first goal.

Perhaps a meditation retreat? Or he knows the paparazzi won't be there if he goes buck wild.

I think that he's by miles the best field player that the US has ever produced. And I hope that he finds happiness. But if he had that focus and desire to be the best like Dempsey, he'd have been a truly world class player.

The problem is that the Nats are just way worse with him out of the lineup.

Giggs with a late one against QPR. United now 15 clear of the field.

Rafael with a great strike for the first goal and Giggs almost outdid that with a crazy chip in the last 10 which bounced off of the crossbar. RVP left with some sort of injury, which is not good news if he can't make it for the Real game.

QPR are a mess, but Julio Caesar is great.

Did you see RVP's injury? He fell into a camera pit.

And Gus Johnson continues to grow on me as a soccer announcer.
