I'm not sure which soccer circles you travel in, but based on the above graphs we have had a vastly different experience.

I congratulate you on not having significant experience with Europoseurs. Hang around this thread for a while; maybe John will show up.

Do NFL fans in Canada get bashed for not supporting CFL teams like this? Or NBA fans in Europe?

    Who knows?

    Who cares?

  4. Pierre Trudeau's government got pissed from a proposed WFL team in the '70s, so It was federal policy to bash on American football.

  5. Anyone else muting the ManU-Chelsea match?

Which is the attitude most soccer fans have about the Europoseur junk. Root for who you want. No big whoop.

Unsurprising, since most U.S. soccer fans are the Europoseurs.

That was a great match. Valencia and Rafael were terrible and Chelski played like world beaters in the second half. The kick save by Da Gea was insane.

Soccer is soccer. Put a pub league match on the TV and I'll watch it. I don't discriminate based on where the league is located. Hell, I watched an A League match the other night when I got some from work.

Sure, I'll watch the game whenever it's on, myself.

But that's not the point the Bennett article made.

I enjoyed the prison league match before that! LOL

Gus was awful. He used the word crossover to describe a 1v1 and his excitement for a Demba Ba shot from 40 yards out that was 15 feed wide is laughable. The first goal he seemed lost on and then just went ape-shit after it was in for a second or so.

That's a great description of the first match. Not a lot of soccer played.

With Gus, again, the analyst seems to spend his time explaining the game to Gus. That actually might be decent for to novice viewer, but grating for even a casual fan. He is getting too excited on some plays and barely raising his voice on some real chances.
