I assume that Shea or DMB goes to the back line against Mexico.

Can't speak for the defenders but I think his Premier League experience has more than prepared Guzan for World Cup qualifying. Tough to get capped as a backup goalie so his lack of games doesn't mean as much as a field player.

    Bruce Arena is right.

As for the team, well, with the amount of injuries out there, who else would get called in?

I'd like to see young Bradley get the captaincy, but I just have a bad feeling that it will be Jones.

Shea? I could see DMB, given that it was an experiment tried before, but not Shea. I certainly don't have a good feeling about the Mexico game...

I'm more interested in seeing what the line-up is that gets put out there. Losing the first game has really put them behind from the start.

Yes, the injuries have them in a real bind. Showcases once again our complete lack of depth.

Agreed regarding Jones. Think it was Wahl who reported that Jones was under consideration. What a bonehead - but predictable - move that would be for Klinsmann.

They need to do everything they can to get three points from Costa Rica. Mexico will demoralize this group.

Jones hasn't lived in America -- they can't give him the armband.

It's Bradley or Dempsey and I think that Deuce is better as an outsider.

The start of RBNY's season has sort of woke me up. But, this Bear saw snow this morning and thought it was too early. There is only so much third division Rangers wins that can occur before I'm looking for serious games.

I was disappointed to not actually be in Denver this weekend. The plan was to get out there, but the tickets were sold out before I had a chance to price out flights properly.

I agree completely here. Besides, Jones is more likely to get tossed from a game than either of those two. As such, it's best to keep him away from that absurdity.

Will it be here before the next game to be broadcast on that channel...?
