The Univision guys must be unbiased.

It strikes me that the halftime result is pretty much the best the U.S. could have expected, given the flow of play.

Yedlin looked like a hockey player there a few times. He whiffed on a shoulder charge that would have made Don Cherry cheer.

Stuart Holden's the one waving the U.S. flag in the FS1 booth.

If U.S. could say "We're good" and take the point -- it would.

    Lol possibly.

The guy was screaming for a red card against Mexico so the PBP guy goes to their expert who was doing everything he could to not outright say the color guy was wrong (play in question was a hard foul that involved an elbow to the face. Refs didn't award a foul, should have been a yellow, wasn't as bad as a red). Later two players were jostling for a ball. Mexican player goes down and is awarded a free kick. The jostling brought him down but the color guy insisted he slipped and went on about the field conditions.

I get playing to the target audience but at some point you can't speak like a player on the field trying to convince the ref your teammate who is flailing on the ground from tripping on a divot was shot by the entire opposing team.

74% possession time for Mexico. I suppose it's not shocking, but ooof.

I wish they'd turn the crowd mics up a little. Not that the announcers are great, but you can hardly hear them.

Whew. I suppose I'd have been thrilled had you promised me a point ahead of the match--but going up 1-0 certainly had me hopeful for more.
