The two Madrid teams, Chelsea and Bayern in the Big Cup semis. United had a glimmer of hope today with Evra's stunner after an hour of parking the bus, but Bayern put the hammer down. Barca out before the semis for the first time in 7 years -- which is crazy.

Major League Soccer's players' union has released the 2014 salary list, both base salary and guaranteed compensation. Do you make more than the local guy at the end of the bench who your paper occasionally covers?

Huge win by Sunderland at Chelsea today; Altidore won a PK at 81 minutes for the decider. They got 4 of 6 possible points at City and at Chelsea this week to keep their hopes of staying up alive. Relegation battle could be epic. Liverpool at Norwich tomorrow, Reds can almost clinch by winning.

Altidore in doing something for Sunderland shocker.

Managing that team must be maddening – lose to Hull, West Ham and Norwich but play out of their skins against Chelsea, Man City and Liverpool. It's like the players are just as volatile as their manager or something.

If Twitter is to be believed, Moyes has been/is about to be fired.

Lots of smoke. Allegedly the Glazers have lost confidence in him.

But who are they going to get?

The team has just looked awful this year.

I think they need to splash for a name coach with Big Cup experience -- Klopp or maybe Van Gaal? Jose would have been perfect to replace SAF, but not now.

But will a big name take it seeing the Glazers' quick trigger?

Betfair has SAF at 9/1 to return.

I don't see him returning. If there was something where he needed to step in for a couple of months due to an illness, maybe. But not full time.

I don't see it either. I'm thinking we might not see United recover for a few years.
