Alitdore did well to keep the ball and distribute, and he was fouled regularly. I don't think he looked lost at all, but a goal would have been nice.

With Zusi out there, any corner or set piece near the goal will be a legit scoring opportunity. He's a brilliant distributor.

I have to say, I'm astonished at the number of comments on that article suggesting that the dude wasn't just chucking the ball into his own net. That was comical.

He does get bumped just as he throws it. If you are trying to have the next goal scored against you to win a bet, it makes more sense to stay on your line and not react (or go the wrong way) than to do this.

I realize he's hit in the air, but look at the way he snaps his wrist. He's throwing that ball.

I agree -- when I first watched it, I thought the bump make his arm pop up and send the ball towards the goal. But that's clearly a throw. It just seems like a low-reward way to let in a goal. Better to whiff on a soft chance.

    Kelong Kings strike again.

I'll see your NY Times and raise you the Sunday Times "obtaining" millions of documents it says is proof Mohamed bin Hammam paid $5 million to secure a World Cup for Qatar. http://www.bbc.com/sport/0/football/27652181
