I love the Soprano family dynamic.
That was a great fucking start toward the grand finale

There is a connection between Tony's fixation on the story about the 3-year-old child that fell into the pool (and is now brain-dead) and the conversation about Janice's therapist and the comment that Mama Soprano's troubles with her brood always started when they were old enough toddlers to think for themselves, or however she worded that.

I am curious to see exactly how that plays out. It was there for a reason.

Why aren't I at home, laying on my bed, watching the Sopranos with a bowl of pasta next to me? [/grumbling about being at work]

I'm going to watch again before I post my thoughts, but I love the Billy Batts throwback when the Shah was celebrating his return at the bar.

What are the odds that the feds or whatever they are in Canada catch Bacala and get him to flip on Tony?

Especially with DNA evidence these days (and a handful of Bobby's shirt).

Well, they didn't catch him after the murder; he came back to the cottage for the fadeout scene. But the point of the episode was, that pushed far enough, he would indeed turn on Tony.

My guess is he used the hollow points in the murder, that will tie him in with the gun charges on Tony, and the feds will put heat on him to flip. Maybe him and Janice both, since there's already precedent for Janice handing Tony to "the authorities."
