And Allen & Paar were both far more significant figures in the Tonight Show timeline than Conan.

Conan's bits outside the studio have always been outstanding. The rest is often average at best. I liked the idea of Conan getting the Tonight Show and then getting the show on TBS, but I've never really given enough of a shit to watch regularly.

To me, Andy Richter has always been the best thing about Conan's shows. I wish he could find something that gave him a bigger stage.

You never want to be the man who follows the man. You want to be the man who follows the man who follows the man who follows the man and who was originally the man who followed the man.

    Incredibly funny and underappreciated show...

Of course, I didn't discover it until it had been canceled and they were showing episodes on HDTV.

Richter hysterical, but he doesn't translate well into a lot of formats.
My favorite part of Conan's show is Richter's quips from his back seat during the interviews.

Actually, Richter would be great in his own interview/discussion show.

If you're on Twitter and you don't follow Richter, you should.

If you like Podcasts, go back and find Richter on WTF and Nerdist and he's fucking amazing...

When Conan was first starting out on Late Night an NBC executive told him he'd never succeed until he "got rid of that big fat dildo."

Richter just told an anecdote the other night about being sent a script for a part.
when he read the character description it was 'a complete fat piece of sh#t' and he said 'What made you think of me?'

    The guy is funny.

I remember hearing Richter tell that story, probably on Stern, and I was laughing so hard, I had to pull over...

I'll take the skeleton over Richter every day and twice on Sunday. :)
