Danielson just called out the unsportsmanlike penalty that should have been called on Cody since the play was live.

 

Yeah I was thinking that as it was happening. Interesting..

 

Kudos to Danielson for pointing out that Cody took his helmet off in celebration while the play still wasn't dead, meaning Alabama could have been penalized 15 yards, giving Tennessee a much easier kick with an untimed down to finish the game.

Another week, another botched call that favors an undefeated SEC team!

 

Am I wrong, or could a Tennessee player have waltzed into the end zone with the ball? It was just there, on the ground, with nothing between it and the end zone. Not a single Vols player saw it.

 

The ball looked like it was right about at the line of scrimmage, you figure someone would have at least tried.

 

I don't think the UT guys could locate it.

UT/Alabama was a fantastic game. You can rip Kiffin as much as you want, but bottom line had his team kicking for the win at Alabama.

Calling 15 yards on Cody there would have ripped the spirit right out of a great college football game.
