Well, remember who they were playing, the all-time champion of last-minute chokes.

As usual, a couple of key penalties at catastrophic moments help sink Sparty.

How is it possible that all Michigan State fans and alumni aren't raving, drooling alcoholics from watching this bunch over the years? They'd fuck up a Jenna Jameson-induced wet dream.

They gave up expecting anything different about 30 years ago. :D

And most of them are raving drooling alcoholics anyway. :D ;D

Florida backed up at its own goal line, State came with big rush, Tebow's arm was hit as he threw, wounded duck picked off at the 20 by the same guy who took the other one all the way in the 2nd qtr, 6 points for the Bullies. Don't worry, State's offense in no danger of pulling this out.

End of the first half, florida driving, gives up a 100-yard INT return

with about 4 minutes left in the game, he got hit as he threw and gave up about a 22-yard INT return for score.

    Edit: What he said.

I mention the choke jobs Iowa has pulled in the past two weeks ago, and someone thought I was pooh-poohing Hayden. Sorry, but that's the truth. Being known as the "Choke-eyes" when it came to Michigan, Ohio State, and bowl games were legendary.

Sparty's record is more glaring because of the spectacular ways they falter. They didn't choke this one away. Iowa happened to make one more big play. Sparty's fine under Dantonio. They'll bounce back.

Bounce back to what? Several of their trademark catastrophic personal-foul and unsportsmanlike-conduct penalties helped sink them, as usual.

Iowa played poorly (especially on offense) and got a gift at the buzzer. But at least they were smart enough to take it.

These Oregon State receivers are just killing the Beavers with penalties, they have to be responsible for at least half of them.

When you take the lead with a minute left and the other team has to score a TD, plus you're playing at home, that's a choke. Sparty had no excuse whatsoever for losing that game.

Because every once in awhile they don't choke against Michigan. Like this year.

But holy fuck, Ames and Iowa City are going to burn tonight.

John L. Smith isn't not walking thru that door in East Lansing to let them fall apart again.

I am under the impression that no one paid much attention to what has been said about Iowa over the past several weeks.

They're not flashy, they're not perfect. They'll play a mud bowl with anyone. Iowa goes as Stanzi goes, or on the flipside, Starman, the defense goes.

Why in the fuck does everyone expect Iowa to look perfect to make the pollsters happy?

Keep playing your game and fuck the pollsters.

James Rodgers catches a TD pass, takes two steps and goes down and USC's Taylor Mayes flies in for a late hit and also rips Rodgers' helmet off by the facemask.

No penalty. Pac-10 refs suck outloud.
