If you say so ... except that based on the explanation provided by the conference office, it wasn't.

The Nebraska defense appears to have recovered from the Kevin Cosgrove era just fine, at least until Suh leaves.

    The offense? Notsomuch.

It's a penalty, yes. But it's not a penalty that affects the outcome of the game. It's the equivalent of ejecting someone after the game ends. The yardage would go into the record books, you could issue a suspension, etc., but it does not affect the outcome of the game.

Think of it this way: If there had been time remaining in the game, Tennessee would not have gotten to kick again. Alabama would have gotten the ball, but 15 yards behind where they recovered the ball. It would have been first-and-10 Alabama.

The game was over. There is no penalty for taking off your helmet when the game is OVER!
    0:00 on the clock. DONE!

I think the Big 12 is only getting one BCS bid too. I also don't think the Cotton Bowl will pick OU - and I'm not sure OU wants to finish their season at the same stadium they opened the year with a loss.

However, I will amend my KU prediction and say it'll be either the Jayhawks or I'm A Man I'm 40 State against LSU or Auburn.

And if Notre Dame runs the table they'll get a BCS slot so that leaves one spot for TCU, Boise, Penn State and Pitt.

I also wouldn't assume UC beats Pitt.

Notre Dame will not run the table. Any team with a pulse on offense has a shot against them. And don't they have Pitt left?

Home to Wazzou on Halloween and Navy on 11/7, at Pitt on Nov. 14, home to UConn on 11/21 and at Stanford on 11/28.

Pitt looks the most likely loss, with Stanford and Navy also on the podium.

On paper I would agree with you. But I also thought they'd have a couple more losses by now. I wouldn't rule out a 10-2 finish for them. Even 9-3 would be enough to get them into a BCS game.

If it comes down to a choice between ND, TCU or Boise and the bowl isn't required to take TCU or Boise, who do think will get selected?

I've always wanted Dungy to come back here, but I don't know if he has any interest in being a college coach.

Brewster will get one more year to show he can turn it around before the heat is really turned up. If he doesn't the question then becomes who would take the job? They do have a new stadium, so maybe that will help attract quality coaching candidates.

Brewster's deal is that he is bringing in quality recruiting classes, or so the story goes. He needs his kids to produce next year.
