Gotcha. I wasn't sure on the rule if they threw a personal foul flag with :00 on the clock, especially since doing so would make virtually zero sense. Can you really have a personal foul with :00 left? Obviously not.

It was amazing that UT with that shitty offense was even in the game but allowing the kicker to decide the game from 45 yards was stupid. Take a shot down the field and try to win the fucking game.

If Ohio State wins out Penn State can't finish 11-1 but Iowa can.

With regards to The ND-TCU-Boise State situation, one of the latter two will most likely earn an automatic BCS berth. However, the commissioners cannot force a BCS game to take the one that doesn't automatically qualify so chances are either the Frogs or Broncos will be left out, whether ND gets picked or not. There will not be two non-BCS teams in BCS bowl games.

My guess is that TCU will be ranked higher in the final BCS standings if they run the table. But I still think they'll lose to Utah.

The first 12 weeks of the college football season are awesome.

The last 3 weeks of the college football season are disastrous.

Your use of 'personal foul' is incorrect here. The reason it's irrelevant is because it's a dead-ball foul. The play stands, and the penalty is enforced before the next play.

You certainly could have a personal foul with :00 left, a face mask for example. If it were called against the defense, then the offense would be entitled to an additional, untimed down.

But in this case, there effectively is no defense or offense. There's only Alabama and Tennessee, if that makes sense.

You would think this would be obvious to everyone. But, alas, it wasn't.

Something to complain about. Kiffin screwed himself.

No. Kiffin almost beat Alabama and probably won a few recruiting battles with that game.

Just quoting this for shits and giggles.

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Southeastern Conference commissioner Mike Slive has announced that Alabama will be penalized 15 yards on the opening kickoff of their game with LSU to make up for the Crimson Tide's Terrence Cody not being penalized for removing his helmet on the field at the end of Alabama's victory over Tennessee on Saturday.

I don't think a BCS bowl would be desperate enough to take ND at 9-3. 10-2, they're a lock.

Iowa up to No. 4 in the BCS standings. No. 1 in the computer rankings.
