    Georgia, too, in 2007.

Houston's loss pretty much knocks them out of any consideration for a BCS bowl. Even more than the Mountain West and the WAC, a C-USA team has to go undefeated to even get a sniff of the BCS. The Coogs will have to console themselves by whipping Ole Miss in the Liberty Bowl.

This game didn't help Boise's case.

KU deserved its bid. Three-loss Illinois, which lost its opener to Mizzou in St. Louis, stole Mizzou's bid. [/fanboi]

Kansas and Missouri are morphing into the same program. I realize that is heresy to KU and MU fans, but they both have exciting offenses, pile up big wins against lesser opponents and get thumped by the big boys.
But yeah, sorry I mixed the schools up. Can't believe how hyped the KU-MU game was and two weeks later it was like it never happened.

Yeah, good point. Last year's game was much better, despite the result.[/notbitteroranything]

Just glad KU beat VaTech in the Orange Bowl. With the Jayhawks, you never know when the opportunity to play in a BCS bowl will ever come again.

Only Boise is going to help Boise's case. And if they are serious about being a player, they have to do what Florida State did in the 1970s when they were trying to establish themselves. Bang on every door every year until you can find 3 Top 20 non-con teams to play. Then beat them.

A few years ago, when it was a pretty good team in the Donovan McNabb era, Syracuse opened its season with Tennessee and Michigan, It was the year Tennessee won its national title and the year after Michigan won its national title.

That was pretty impressive scheduling. Boise needs to do the same.

And LSU '06 ('06 SECW Champ: Arkansas) and Florida '01 ('01 SECE Champ: Tennessee). LSU managed to pull off the trick even having beaten Arkansas.

Colorado is a "big boy"? I didn't know that.

Didn't know that about Oklahoma State, either.
