See, I think that's lazy writing.

'The Wonder Years' was based on a general nostalgia of an era. It only occasionally dabbled in specific pop-culture remembrances.
This guy is basing a large part of the shows' supposed appeal on specific pop culture remembrances, yet he can't be bothered to get the timeline right.

Yeah, I think that's incredibly lazy as well.

I imagine all you guys complaining about The Goldbergs never watched Cheers because a "Sam Malone" never actually pitched for the Red Sox.

    Not really the same thing.
    Not even close, actually.

More like if 'Cheers' tried to get away with saying Yaz and Williams played together.

It'd be like if Sam Malone followed up his stellar 1985 season with a subpar 1982 season.

Being too lazy to use Wikipedia while creating a major-network, prime-time TV show is inexcusable.

Or thinking people won't notice or care...

Sam Malone's locker was next to Babe Ruth.

I found a streaming site that has True Detective, so I might check it out when I finish Season 3 of Sherlock, which will hopefully be tonight. But I'm also tired, so maybe not.

I'm about to write off 'Agents of SHIELD.'
It hasn't been good, but I've stuck with it because ... I don't really know why.
But not having a new episode last night pissed me off.

McConaghey does crazy very well, and Harrelson's always good. Outside of that ... it's a detective drama.

God help me, my wife still watches American Idol. Didn't realize it was still on. It's shit. Where are all the crazy people from years past? Nobody is taken down in a cruel way, contestants are sent out crying, no one attacks the judges, nothing. If I want to hear talented singers, this is the last show I'd watch.
