So I understand that the Olympics are on, but it is still a sweeps month. Yet every other network has been running reruns all week.

The first two seasons of Damages are outstanding, especially if you like flash forward type narratives. You know something happens but you don't know how, why or who did it sort of mysteries. It's thrilling.

Season 2 is not good. Haven't watched it since it was on TV, but that's what I remember; and I loved season 1. The only nice thing I can say about it is that it was not as bad as the movie, Fire Walk with Me.

Imagine if The Rebels tried to use the story from 1st and 10. The wife took the team from the owner in the divorce after she caught him having sex with one of the players.

I watched all 5 of the Amazon original pilots and the two I'd definitely like to see a full season are:

    1. Bosch
    2. Mozart In The Jungle

If they'd make three of them into series I'd next pick:

    3. The After

I'd like to see at least one more episode of:

    4. Transparent

...and I'd like the 28 minutes of my life back that it took to watch:

    5. The Rebels

Regarding Twin Peaks, Brian nailed it. I tried to keep going, but it seemed so pointless and boring. The turning point comes at "Episode 17/Dispute Between Brothers."

On House of Cards, Spacey and Wright have a recurring theme in their window sill, where their intimacy is in full bloom. Makes for great photography. In S2E4 they shared their best window sill moment.

I'm also enjoying that the writers are letting Michael Kelly's character -- Doug Stamper, who is Underwood's henchman -- breathe and grow a little more this season. He's got range.

Kelly, and most of the other actors, are doing their usual quality work. The show, however, as has been noted elsewhere, is Scandal for TV snobs. It's fun watching but far from great TV.

That means a lot considering how much of a completist you usually are.

Yeah, it's one of the only shows I have ever really liked, then stopped watching. I may finish it some day, but it got unbearably soap-operatic once the grounding premise was collapsed. And I say that as someone who watched One Tree Hill (though I won't even try to defend that).

I was the same way with One Tree Hill. Must-see viewing for me for maybe, three years? But my interest waned considerably.
