With all due respect, nope. It's great TV.

I don't see what can NOT be great about that show.

I watched the first three seasons of Gossip Girl, though I'd argue that's slightly more defensible than One Tree Hill. Probably not really, though.

And shotty, I'm fine being on the other side of the argument from you when it comes to the House of Cards. It's basically a slicker, better acted version of a Shonda Rhimes show, so I understand why you love it.

The plots are mostly ridiculous and the majority of the characters are two-dimensional. I can't think of any characters that I'd consider great. It's a pretty hollow show once you start examining it closely.

Sepinwall had a sweet crack about the President in House of Cards, calling him the most paper-thin personality free character on TV not named Christopher Brody.

I watched the last episode of "Gossip Girl." Yeah, I know, doing it all wrong. But my wife watched it religiously, which means I'd catch it in the background of making dinner, doing laundry, whatever. But I just had to know who Gossip Girl was.

A look back at the last episode of one of the most brilliant comedies ever to air: http://www.avclub.com/article/25-years-later-blackadders-finale-is-still-devasta-201271.

See, that's why I love this place. I could go 27 years where I am, and nobody here would ever put together the two words "bugger off" in my vicinity. I appreciate the melting pot that is us.

If I ever spend 27 years in the same town please throw me off a building.

Indeed. Since leaving home I've been to Santa Maria (2 years), Iowa City (18 months), Bennington (2 years), West Indies (6 months), Brattleboro (2 years), Roswell (2 years), Upper Valley (4 years), Trenton (5 years) and now back in Bennington (coming up on 2 years).

Although I'm tired of bouncing. Might plant some roots here.
