It has its garden spots, but if you get too far south of I-10, it's like stepping back in time.

Interesting move by CBS. They posted a pilot for a show they didn't pick up on their website. It's a pretty good concept for a show, but it's weird seeing Rupert Grint without his accent.

Would love to see more networks do this. Could go the Amazon route on some of them and pick five and let people watch them online and decide one to pick up. Could get a new show a built-in following, and couldn't end up with anything worse than some of the stuff they pick now.

Seems to be a lot of good reviews for HBO's Silicon Valley, which premieres Sunday. I'll give it a spin.

Am I the only one who finds ABC's Resurrection has turned into a complete bore? I loved the first two episodes. Now I'm just frustrated. It's like they're trying way too hard.

    Veep was great, as usual.

And yet, I think I'm going to wind up liking Silicon Valley even more. Really loved the vibe.

Silicon Valley looked like it had a lot of potential.

We watch 'Veep' but I'm not really much of f an. I don't dislike it enough to leave the room when it's on.
I wanted to like 'Silicon Valley' more than I did.

I think Veep is really well done for what it is. The problem is that for a comedy it's too true to life. And much like real-life politics, there are a lot of giant egos and not too many likable characters.

Veep is the funniest show on TV. Only Archer compares.

Veep is a perfect cable-sized season show. You couldn't take 22-24 episodes of these characters, but 10-11 works well. JLD is wonderful.

I agree with that for American shows. This is the funniest show on TV: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0387764/?ref_=nv_sr_1. Super Hans puts all other funny supporting characters to shame. I'd put Veep narrowly ahead of Fresh Meat for second.

    Everything about that is right.
