The Crazy Ones seemed to have about 17 different producers. It was untethered and didn't seem to be going anywhere. Might have worked at 60 minutes, but the 30 minute eps were short on laughs and plots. I think shooting it in LA was part of the problem - easier to fake Chicago with a multi-cam comedy shot live.

This show's failure would probably make for an interesting magazine article given the talent involved.

Another thing about The Crazy Ones, and it seems to be becoming a growing trend for struggling shows. The first sign of trouble, they brought Brad Garrett in out of nowhere and into a fairly significant role. No warning, no real plot adjustments, they just figured they had to have another recognizable face.

The single-camera approach was bad for that, too. Garrett could be a foot taller than Robin Williams. That made for some awkward shots. They tried to use that as a punch line near the end, but the show was in its coffin by then.

Parks & Rec and Parenthood will have series finales next year.

A season too late for P&R, IMO. Parenthood could last another five years and still be strong.

I need to get on Parenthood already. I kinda said I was giving up TV shows and switching to movies only...but if I am watching DVD boxsets...it's like a long movie...right?

Yeah. That's pretty accurate. Stunning cast.

Gary Dourdan leaving CSI at its peak was pure genius.

Sandra Oh's net worth is listed at $25 mil - she won't be clipping coupons any time soon. Probably just wants to do different roles.

She's probably just making sure she's free if they do an Arli$$ movie.

Watched the season finale of Agents of SHIELD tonight. A bit predictable, but a fun episode. I really like that they didn't feel like they had to redeem everybody.

Also saw a report that they will be moving back to 9 p.m. on Tuesdays and that they will fill a mid-season hiatus with episodes of Agent Carter (the character from Captain America: The First Avenger.)
