The Ben Stiller Show was one of the most underrated and mismanaged shows of my lifetime. We used to watch it religiously in college, when Fox was changing the time it was on. It was a brilliant show and Fox wasted it.

Mr. Show is an all-timer. The people involved with that show is amazing.

    Is that unusual?

They show reruns of 'Mr. Show.' I think it's on IFC. I have it set to record.
It's still fantastic, and it ended 15 years ago.

Point taken, but all of those were after the initial show had finished. I know CSI only has the original show left and the two spinoffs were canceled and the Law and Order spinoffs had varying levels of success. I think SVU is still on, but I'm honestly not positive... Given the success of both NCIS shows, I'm surprised they didn't get the go-ahead for the third one. I think I'm pleasantly surprised because it might be an indication that it wasn't on the same level as the other two, not that NCIS LA is on the level of NCIS, but it's a fun show with a good cast.

Saw the spin-off intro on NCIS:LA. It sucked.

I liked the two leads (Corbett and Raver), but I thought the rest of the cast was a meh...

Actually, Guy, those all got runs as a series, albeit short-lived ones. The CSI Red didn't even make it that far, it was just one of many pilots that didn't get picked up.

I don't understand Guy_Incognito's point. All those shows were picked up.

I can't ever remember so many new shows for the summer.

I working under the assumption that none of them could possibly be good. Otherwise, why burn them off in the summer?

The landscape of television has changed so much in the last 20 years. With so many cable networks offering original programming, most of their seasons are just 10-12 episodes and many of them run in the summer.

My mistake - I dont know anything about the CSI show. I thought it wasn't renewed.

I can't think of a long-lasting spinoff other than Frasier.

Joey was awful. And I hate procedurals.
