I never like CSI having season-long storylines and that's what they're doing now. Damn it.

Anyone catch The Simpsons/Family Guy crossover last night?

I thought it had some pretty good moments, but the bad outweighed the good.

I missed the first 10 minutes, but from what I saw, I agree with your assessment.

I'm halfway through it. I think it's dreadful.

I think I may have laughed three or four times. Everything else they've already done and just wasn't funny.

I think the best part was the courtroom scene, where everyone met their counterpart.

Was reading the comments on a Yahoo! story about the Simpsons premiere, and it struck me -- has it simply become cool and ironic to say you haven't watched the show since the late 90s?
The Simpsons might not be as consistently good as is was in the 1994-99 period, but it's still decent and there's still a few tremendous episodes each season. Yet everyone says it's garbage and not worth watching even though it's soldiered on for 15-16 years after its supposed heyday. So somebody's still watching it.

Are you talking just about the Simpsons premiere or the crossover?

The Simpsons premiere wasn't very good, I don't think, because they teased a "beloved" character was going to die, and then didn't exactly deliver.

The Simpsons in general. The premiere wasn't terrible, I didn't think, but that might be because I'd read a well-educated guess on the death and wasn't too surprised.

Masters of Sex fell flat to start in the second season, it picked up steam and then got boring to end the season.
But hey! Betsy Brant got topless...so there is that.

I don't think it's cool or ironic; I just don't watch it and haven't watched it with an frequency in a long, long time.
I think it's just played out. The show wasn't as good plus I just grew tired of it after watching it for years.

I did watch the crossover, which was not good.
Of course, 'Family Guy' is another show almost never watch anymore.

  12. I watched Sunday's episode and it sucked. The opening credit was a HUGE WTF?
And it was downhill from there.
