I felt that way last season. I don't have a ton of interest in the Dunphy children other than see how hard they try to cover up how stacked the younger daughter is. Nothing is as fresh in Season 6 as it was in Season 1-2.

I still think it's worth watching.

Not that I was expecting it to be good, but I'm guessing "Selfie" will not be around long.

We watched the pilot of "Selfie" on demand a couple of weeks ago. Hated everyone and didn't laugh once. Just an awful show.

I'm liking it, but wishing they'd be a little more subtle and give the viewers some more credit.

Anyone else planning to watch the new Fox series Gracepoint which starts tonight?

It's a US re-make of the BAFTA award winning BBC series Broadchurch which was shown on BBC America earlier this year. British actor David Tennant will play the lead detective just like he did in Broadchurch. It'll be weird hearing him speak with an American accent. Emmy Award winning actress Anna Gunn plays the female detective.

Just finished Ken Burns' Roosevelts and I'd say it was up there with the Civil War as his best. Absolutely fascinating family.

Having loved Broadchurch, I was distracted by just how similar it was to the original, distracted by Tennant's American accent and distracted by the CGI cliffs. According to Sepinwall the plot will begin to deviate in the 7th episode. We'll see if I hang on until then.

Just watched the pilot of Manhattan Love Story.

Cliched and over-written but I'll be back every week until my love for Analeigh Tipton fades or it's cancelled, whichever comes first. (Bet on the latter.)

Analeigh Tipton looks like Sarah Hyland and Aubrey Plaza had a daughter who looked like Tara Reid a little.

Twin Peaks appears to be coming back in 2016 on Showtime:

Recently rewatched Twin Peaks and it was just too far ahead of its time. Imagine it in today's cable environment, doing 8-10 episode seasons. If they had wrapped up the Laura mystery after a shorter second season then came back a year later with a reset third season it would have gone over so much better than completely shifting gears in the middle of Season 2.

But the stuff Lynch and Frost did, including getting established film and stage actors to come do some weird TV show, paved the way for shows such as True Detective.
