My expectations were zero. I was very pleasantly surprised.

I don't see it as racist at all.

The mom and the oldest kid (sort of main character) are both freaking hilarious. It also takes place in the mid-90s, so some of the references are pretty cool without being distracting like The Goldbergs. People have compared this show to that one, but Fresh off the boat is a lot funnier than The Goldbergs.

It's pretty rare when I laugh out loud during a network show. I was laughing my ass off during last night's episode.

New Girl and Archer are about the only two TV shows that make me actually LOL at times.
Then again...I have a dirty mind.

Archer is one of the funniest shows ever. I got bored with New Girl when the hooked Jess up with Nick and stopped watching at some point last season.

The last few episodes of New Girl have been pretty damn good. Awkward at times, but some great lines though.

I have a love/hate relationship with that show and The Mindy Project. I sort of feel like both shows are good, but have underachieved.

It wouldn't be the first time I bailed on a show too soon...

No shame in loving Archer. If you do, you might want to check out some of the Adam Reed, Matt Thompson and H. Jon Benjamin's other animated shows - Bob's Burgers, Sealab 2021, Frisky Dingo, Home Movies.

I have enough time for the few shows I watch...but I have seen Bob's a few times. Funny stuff.

Has anyone watched Schitt's Creek? Interesting to see it was developed by Eugene Levy and his son Dan, who plays his son. Also makes me wonder if Chris Elliott will ever again play something other than a really creepy character.

  9. Echo Bob's Burgers. Great, funny show.

I certainly haven't seen all of his work, but Groundhog Day is the only role of his that I can think of where he didn't play a creep/weirdo/eccentric...

The first couple of seasons of Sealab 2021 (the ones with Captain Murphy) are freaking awesome.

Definitely agree! Unfortunate that Captain Murphy passed away though, since otherwise, you get the feeling they could have done that show forever, like they're doing with ATHF.
