I can understand people not liking 'Game of Thrones.'
I like it but still find it's glacial pacing frustrating.

The Wire is the best thing.

That, and the fact that there are so many characters and storylines, and I only enjoy about half of them.

I still wouldn't say it's terrible, but like you, I can see why people don't like it.

  5. I'm the same way with Game of Thrones. I generally struggle with the period piece type of stuff anyway but I just couldn't get on board. Same thing happened with Boardwalk Empire. I thought I'd love it because I love gangster/mafia type stuff but I watched the whole first season and never bought in. And for as great as Buscemi is, I just never believed in him as a fearless, hard nosed gang leader.

Anyone else watching Inside Amy Schumer? I want to like it, but three or four episodes in and so far the only thing I like is the parts with her doing the standup.

I like it, but with the way the praise is being poured on, you'd think it was the second coming of Chappelle Show...

It's a good show, but I like her stand up better. I thought Jeselnik Offensive was funnier.

Where is this praise being poured on?

This doesn't seem to indicate an overly praised show: http://www.metacritic.com/tv/inside-amy-schumer/critic-reviews.

I read a lot about TV and never heard more than a "This show could be good," about it.

Speaking of that TV reading, I knew Allison Jones was a great casting director, but her list of credits is staggering (via IMDB): Freaks and Geeks, Undeclared, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Boy Meets World, Family Ties, Curb Your Enthusiasm, United States of Tara, Arrested Development (not from the beginning, though) and The Office (U.S.).

Comedy Central has already ordered a second season. Usually Comedy Central takes forever to order renewals, but that hasn't been the case lately as Inside Amy Schumer, The Jeselnik Offensive, The Burn with Jeff Ross and Nathan for You have all been renewed.

They also already started shooting a second season of Kroll Show.

Kroll's show is no good. Neither is Schumer's.
I wanted to like both, but they're not good.

Ross' and Jeselnik's shows are good.
