I absolutely love Kroll Show. It gets funnier each time I watch it and catch a bunch of little jokes that are related to a previous sketch or a sketch that hadn't even aired yet. It's a little like Arrested Development in that way, though I'm not saying it is that good.

With Anthony Michael Hall guest starring on Psych last night, the show has now had the entire Breakfast Club, except Emilio Estevez.

Thinking about watching Major Crimes on TNT. Did anyone watch the first season? Is watching the first season a must-do before jumping in with season 2?

Anybody interested in King's "Under the Dome?" I haven't read the book. Yes, I've already heard all the "Simpsons did it!" jokes. Still, any interest?

I doubt it. They (unsatisfyingly) resolved the mole issue at the end of The Closer and there is a little new history to learn, but is basically Raydor instead of Brenda.

I have to say that I love Veep. It is filthy and has no larger message, but boy does it make me laugh every week.

It's the funniest show on TV. It's not as even or well-made as Louie or Parks and Recreation, but it's funnier.

HBO's TV reputation is mostly for its dramas, but its comedies are more consistent and arguably better. The Larry Sanders Show, Tenacious D, Da Ali G Show, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Eastbound & Down, Veep and Family Tree all were or are excellent; Sex in the City, Arli$$, Flight of Concords and Girls really aren't my thing but are pretty loved; and I've heard the some great things about Enlightened and Bored to Death, which I might get around to eventually.

OK, so...I didn't watch The Closer. Does that matter? Am I going to be lost on a bunch of things?

Agree on Veep. It's fantastic. It's the rare show in which I don't hate any of the characters. Weird. I enjoyed the pilot of Family Tree, but keep forgetting to set the season pass. I'll probably go back and watch it all later on HBOGo.

I saw a preview the other night for this show, coming up in 2014, starring Matthew McConaughey, Woody Harrelson, and the wonderful Michelle Monaghan.

Looks silly. HBO stepping up its game. Again.
