I'd say commit to watching the first two or three episodes of The Wire in short order. If it doesn't take, it won't.
Watched a single episode once and didn't see what the big deal was. After renting the first few episodes I was hooked.

Watching any episode out of order is futile. The pilot is great. The opening scene is one of the best ever.

Anyone else watch Ray Donovan the other night? I thought it was very good. Created by the same woman who created Southland, I believe.

I stopped somewhere in season 3 a few years back, and haven't returned yet. It was becoming too depressing for me to try and get through it. It's a really good show, but I was just not looking forward to episodes the way I did with other shows. I plan to pick it back up, probably this fall or winter.

I started Justified this week. I predict that I'll be all caught up within the next couple weeks. I really enjoyed the first four episodes and can definitely see myself moving through it quickly.

I watched the first two episodes of Under the Dome, and it's not great but not awful either.

It does show just how great Lost was those first couple episodes of drawing you into the show because this one just does not have that magic.

RE: Under the Dome. The cow getting sliced in half when the dome came down was pretty cool. I have a hard time seeing Dean Norris and not seing him as Walter White's brother-in-law. Kinda digging the intrigues of the out-of-towners.

Did anyone watch Lucky Louie, Louis C.K.'s 2006 HBO sitcom that he makes fun of in Louie? It's on HBOGo and, at 13 episodes, seems worthwhile.

It's so bad it's watchable. But it's not good.

It looked cheap, was poorly written and was rarely funny. Hard to believe that it was the same guy who makes Louie.

I've watched the entire season probably 3 or 4 times. Love it. Wasn't happy when they canceled it.
