Recently I have watched the Patty Hearst documentary on cnn. Thank goodness for ff, tons of commercials. A prosecutor had the best comment as to whether she was guilty or not. She said she is like water and fits into any situation that she is in. Really spot on, I thought.
Just watched Waco yesterday. If it is accurate-based on books by the negotiator and someone on the inside-the fbi really blew that whole situation. Terrible.

I do love this format, I never would imagine that the mini-series format would be such a large part of the modern day broadcasts.

By the way ... and I swear this is not sexist, just a point of order ... has anyone else noticed how many camera angles they use to have Christina Hendricks' breasts arrive in a scene before the rest of her body?

I loved the book The Alienist. I like the show. Considering how long it took to make to a/the screen, surprised I don't find it more compelling. It looks great though.

Mrs. W and I were commenting on it -- they don't have her dressed that provocatively. But so many scenes start with the camera lingering on her breasts from some unnatural angle.

To be fair, they usually do arrive 10 minutes before the rest of her.

Caught up with Better Call Saul on Netflix. Would have been a brilliant show without the tie-in to Breaking Bad - making it a pre-quel makes the feat even more outstanding. Chuck, Howard, Kim - I don't know what happened to them, but you would have thought there were more than a few others who were able to connect Jimmy and Saul once the change occurs.
And I could have sworn I saw a snippet of Walter White in the bar in Ep. 7 when Kim and Jimmy were scoping out scam targets.

Just watching the new Roseanne. Dan and wife taking a ton of meds, I am waiting to see if they make the connection to their weight and awful eating habits. That's healthcare, I guess. (she is eating peeps for breakfast)

Hitting all the highlights in the first 15 minutes, healthcare, guns, employment.

I enjoyed the first two episodes. Comfortable humor in some ways, a tiny bit edgy here and there. I was surprised they did the Beckys joke again, but hey, Chalke has chops! She's had a really good run on a bunch of different shows, might as well re-use her for Roseanne.
