The TV thread

Reached my breaking point last week. We deleted the Tivo OnePass for the show.

 

I'm just perplexed that as soon as they introduce/reintroduce a character, they tend to kill them off or have them do a heel turn for some random reason. The VP? The SoS? The FBI director?
And the FBI agent seemed to get away without about everything - except telling off the president's lady friend.

 

Designated Survivor is such a bleeping mess that I cannot believe there is a worse show on tv. There is no structure to anything other than a few characters.

 

I loved Designated Survivor early on. I've completely lost track of it this season, however, and you can't do that with this show.

So they've lost me as a viewer. I've haven't watched it in a few weeks.

 

It has a really good cast, but every other aspect from the writing to the special effects to the score is just a mess.

 

They just need to go full 24. They brought in Raver and Pierson, time for Rajskub, Bernard, Haysbert and Cuthbert.

 

Or get Tom Green and go full Road Trip.

 

With nothing on TV right now that's catching my eye I've started watching Cheers again. We've got a great library and they've got every season. Just finished the first season and about to start No. 2. It's still good.

 

It holds up well. Been watching again on Netflix.

 

Been watching Roseann on Hulu. The latest episode focused on Jackie. Didn't she have a son?

 

I re-watched a couple years ago, and I was struck by how slow and somber some of the early episodes are. Like, Sam Malone stops a rape at one point, IIRC.

 

Had some time off and binged Westworld. Not sure why I missed it before. Really enjoyed it.
