The TV thread

I kind of agree with this - there is a lot of things happening. I like to listen to a few Westworld podcasts middle of the week to help me remember all of the shit that is happening.

 

Ok ... Westworld question ??

Spoiler: Spoilers ahead

So Bernard is a Host. Ok. great twist. And believable ... But what about the phone call with his wife? He was videoing with his wife, with other workers in the room? How can that be? Is that explained?

And, Charlotte AND the company were in on the plot to murder Theresa right? She and Ford both used the same phrase "blood sacrifice" when talking to Theresa?

 

Watched the first episode. It was Ok. Nothing special, except Stephen Root.
I'll give it some more time.

 

DCI Banks
Great show based on Peter Robinson's novels.

 

Hmmm. Just Googled it and looks like my kind of show. Where do you find it?

 

I watch my fair share of shows and work at a place where I'm constantly asked if such and such show or movie is on DVD.

Just goes to show the amount of shows that are out there, considering this has been on since 2010, and I never heard of it.

 

Brooklyn-99 canceled.

Last Man Standing uncanceled.

Who is shocked that FOX did this?

 

A bit underwhelmed by the new season of Westworld. Don't dislike it. But it's a little scattered. Not quite as tight as Season 1 so far.

Anyone else use Hulu Live? Taking it for a free test drive this week. So far, it seems really good. Final step before cutting the cord.

 

Stephen Root is good on "Barry" too. Weird to see the same actor in two different series at the same time; the Chechnyan mobster in "Barry" is also Bobby Axlerod's attorney in "Billions."

And Henry Winkler is wonderful in "Barry."

 

Last Man Standing isn't on FOX. And I'm not surprised they cancelled Brooklyn 99. Quirky shows like that aren't really on network TV anymore, so it's more surprising to me it made it five seasons.

 

LMS wasn't on FOX. But it will be.

 

Love Brooklyn Nine-Nine, but it never found an audience and was on the cusp of being stale. And Andre Braugher is a national treasure.
