Syfy's Sharknado won the Internet Thursday, but it didn't move the needle in the Nielsens...

I'm really late to the party, and I didn't want to resurrect the more-than-year-old thread devoted to it, but I finally got around to seeing the first episode of BBC's "Sherlock" on Netflix (inspired to after seeing Cumberbatch in the Star Trek sequel), and it was outstanding. If anybody else on this board hasn't seen it yet, do so, you won't be disappointed.

    Dexter is getting really interesting.

Watched the season premiere of The Newsroom, and this is really starting to bug me: Do people working in TV constantly greet each other with "Good show"? That line was all over Sportsnight, and it's been the same thing with The Newsroom.

They're finally answering the questions I've had about Dexter all along regarding his emotional connection to people if he's a psychopath.

Who's Line Is It Anyway? reboots tonight at 8 p.m. ET on The CW, complete with Wayne Brady, Colin Mochrie, Ryan Stiles and new host Aisha Tyler (Lana Kane from Archer).

Watching John Oliver (who I thought I would like more) on TDS is giving me additional appreciation for Jon Stewart.

Orange is the New Black (new Netflix series) is just basically a variation of Weeds (same writer, white suburbanite learning to deal with criminal element). Not liking the constant flashbacks. Nice to see American Pie's Jason Biggs and Natasha Lyonne get work in the same series, though. Laura Prepon (Donna from That 70s Show) shows her boobs in the first few minutes of the opener, although I didn't realize that was her until later on.

Somehow neither House of Cards' Corey Stoll nor The Americans' Noah Emmerich were nominated for the best supporting actor Emmy. Those were the two best acting jobs I saw on TV this year.

Justified was also snubbed pretty much across the board. It should have been on the Best Drama list and Olyphant deserved Best Actor nomination this season.

I can't believe that Emmerich was snubbed -- he was really great. I also think that Derek Luke as Gregory should have been a lock to win the award for guest star in a drama and I'm shocked that he wasn't even nominated.

    The entire show was snubbed.

Pretty bad. Stoll and Emmerich were fantastic. Margo Martindale was nominated for The Americans. But it's like the Pro Bowl, getting the first nomination is the toughest. Michael J. Foxx sneezes on a show and they hand him a nomination, same for Betty White. I dig Connie Britton, but she was three times better on Friday Night Lights in her worst year than she is in Nashville. A lot of it is the show though.

I'm a big fan of Orange is the New Black. I enjoy the LOST style flashbacks.
