Based on yesterday's Comic-Con Q&A, season 3 of Sherlock will be back sometime in early 2014. Also, the actors have all been optioned for a 4th season, which will hopefully be able to be made because Moffat revealed that season 3 will end on another cliffhanger. I'm especially excited for the next season as it seems it will be very character-driven, which is the strongest aspect of the show.

I saw the first episode and thought it was well done.

Four episodes in and I like it better. Much more disturbing than Weeds.

I'm watching it as I type.

Very disturbing. There's a very similar flow to the early seasons of Weeds.

Rewatching Luther from the beginning. Halfway in to S1,always enjoy seeing people from BBC shows pop up elsewhere. I'm seeing the bartender from Hustle kill young women to impress his straying wife, who was on MI-5 (Spooks in the UK).

Speaking of Luther, season 3 is really good. It still has Luther dealing with personal issues, but it's not the insane whirlwind that season 2 was, and so I think it's better than season 2 as it focuses more on the cases. Also, the first serial killer is really creepy. The writers of Luther do creepy incredibly well.

They're doing a great job this season. But you have to wonder how much longer Dexter is going to let Dr. Vogel live. He'll kill her because she messes Deb up even worse or kill her because she's the brain serial killer and has been stringing Dexter along that it's someone else.

Didn't realize Det. John Munch of Special Victims is referenced in Season 1, ep. 5 of Luther - though Belzer doesn't make an appearance (add another show to the list)

Finished up season 3 of Justified today and starting season 4. It's a lot of fun, which is what keeps it fresh despite each season following the same general outline.

Also, I started a 2007 British mini-series, Jekyll. Through two of the six episodes and the performance by James Nesbitt as the Jekyll/Hyde character is fantastic. I was drawn to it because it was written by Steven Moffat, who is behind Sherlock and some of the best episodes of Doctor Who. He seems to enjoy updating old literature into modern day stories, and has quite the feel for it.

Actually, Moffat's a guy who would fit on the TV resumes thread. Since 2000 he's been one of the primary writers/producers of Coupling, Sherlock, Doctor Who, and Jekyll, all of which are well-reviewed. It also shows a nice range of genres.

If you go to the bbc.co.uk website and use a UK proxy to disguise your U.S. IP address, you too can watch Series 3 on the BBC iPlayer. Right now, the first three episodes of Luther Series 3 are available for viewing on demand. Episode 4 will be added to their website on July 24th. You don't have to wait until they are finally shown on BBC America in six months or so.

Luther will actually be on BBC America at the beginning of September, so it won't be too long this time. They seem to be getting better at that. There are talks that Sherlock might be shown at the same time here and in the UK.
