Chris Pratt is probably on the verge of becoming the biggest star among that cast.

Another vote here for Orange is the New Black. 3 episodes in, terrific show.

Wonder what people will think of the ending, when they get there.

There were parts of the season that I really enjoyed and parts that I didn't like at all. Specifically related to the main character, there were times I found myself more interested in and rooting for the "side" characters, which is the sign of a good ensemble show in some ways but not a great thing in others.

They're really giving Sullivan & Son the king's treatment by running new eps between 90 minutes of Big Bang Theory, which is a funny show.

I gave S&S one shot last night. Few lines made me laugh but it's painful. Cheers is rolling in its grave.

I'm 7 episodes in and agree with this. Some of Piper's decisions I just shake my head at. But the supporting cast is strong. (although, if every backstory ends up being good girl done wrong by circumstances, that could get tedious). To be fair, it's minimum security, so it's not going to have the worst of the worst.

  6. I've been hesitant to watch this because I liked the first season of Weeds and then it went horrifically off the rails. Hearing people say the main character makes terrible, ridiculous choices makes me think it's a lot like Weeds.

Her choices aren't as ridiculous as Nancy's.

Great point, although Nancy's became much more intolerable as the series went on and went off the rails. There are definitely some similarities

I've watched five episodes and am enjoying it. It's interesting because I'm not sure, and haven't really read up too much on it, if it's supposed to be a drama, a comedy, both. To me it's been more funny than dramatic so far. There have been moments that were tense and I was wondering what would happen on the bad side and they always seem to be cleaned up without much negative impact. That's my only hang up so far. But if I view it less of a drama then that doesn't bother me as much. Obviously that might change in the second half. And I haven't watched Weeds, so I'm not sure if this is the expected style or not. Like I said, I'm enjoying it, just kind of wondering what kind of show it wants to be.

Why do so many TV shows have a character named Ted?

    I don't know a single Ted.

Peter Capaldi will be the 12th Doctor. I was initially skeptical since I know him mostly as Malcolm Tucker, but then I remembered he was good playing a completely different type of character on Torchwood.
