She hasn't done anything polarizing, but she is polarizing for some reason.

I like her, but the show looks terrible.

Michael, you should watch New Girl. I hate Zooey as well, and she's VERY annoying early on in the show. But as it became more of an ensemble it got much stronger. And Greenfield and Johnson are the stars, no doubt. They hold that show together.

I used to hate watching movies with Jon Voight in them. Just not a fan of his for whatever reason. But his work as Mickey Dononvan on "Ray Donovan" has been awesome, in a hilarious way. A scene in last week's episode really solidified his awesomeness.

After picking up a random white chick at the spa, he invites her back to his terrible apartment or whatever. This is how the scene unfolds:

/the two walk into the apartment
Mickey: We're out of toilet paper.
/chick picks up Thick Black Chicks (or something like that) porn case.
Mickey, seeing her looking at the box: So, do you know how to twerk?
    Chick: Huh?
Mickey: Nevermind. We'll get to that soon enough.

And that's before she says she'd only blow him with a gun to her head. He thinks it's a cute little game she's playing, so he goes to his bedroom, gets a gun, puts it to her head and tells her to pull his pants down. Shocker, she gets all kinds of distraught, starts boo-hooing, and storms out.

    Just an awesome scene.

If the TV God could let me bring back one show for 3 seasons, Terriers would be it. Loved it.

This appears to be the only thread I thought this could be Where I could add this. I guess the Duck Dynasty folks are just rolling in it ($$$$) and fame since their show went on the air.

What's more, our local Independent League baseball team is having as guests for fans the daughter and son of a couple of these guys next week. I tried -- really tried!! -- to watch this to find out what was all the excitement over.

I could not take more than 10 minutes over three episodes total. It just seems unbelieveable that America is watching this brand of crap and not outraged by it. If you think i am being unkind, understood. But I think I will pass on interviewing the two teens (for now, anyway).

If I wanted to watch rednecks, I'd move in with my brother's family.

I've had the chance to look at a few episodes, and as far as the reality TV genre goes, I think the show is pretty good. I think the family is full of interesting characters and I like the dynamic of Willie having to be the "dad" of the whole group. You want to tell him to "lighten up" at times, but then realize if he didn't, the company wouldn't be as successful.

I guess the difference I see in "Duck Dynasty" from other shows is that you're not looking voyeuristically at a group of family that's a total train wreck -- this a family who's very successful and comfortable with who they are. I get that it's not everyone's cup of tea, but I really don't see why anybody should be "outraged" at it.

The script writers really have their work cut out for them. There are only so many outlandish storylines they can create for the show, since they mostly avoid much hunting.

I've been a fan of the Robertsons for many years, watched their hunting videos and hung out with them at hunting expos pre-DD days. Nice guys. But the Duck Dynasty merchandising reminds me of the West Coast Choppers and OCC stuff when those shows were huge. You can't walk into a gas station anywhere in the south without seeing Duck Dynasty crap (and it is crap, not nearly the quality of Duck Commander gear). I can't blame them from cashing in, but I think they are saturating the market and will burn it out in a couple of years.

I think they're smart enough to know that their window is closing. Why not get as much as you can.

Watched "Owners Manual" last night on AMC. Seems like a better fit for Discovery, even though it feels really fake.
