Based on the reviews, I was expecting it to be a hundred times worse than it actually was.

I think the "controversy" was about the only thing Dads had going for it. It was just lame and disappointing considering how much I like Mull, Reigert and Green. You think about the stuff these three have been involved in, and THIS is what they do?

I watched about 10 minutes of it just based on the controversy. It wasn't funny. The supposed controversy has nothing to do with it being bad and offering very little in the way of upside. And most good reviewers have said exactly that.

Some of my favorite shows are ones that are wildly un-PC, but you got to be funny doing it. Katy would be so disappointed in Boon.

Good stuff from VanDerWerff on how Dexter failed where Breaking Bad succeeded: http://www.grantland.com/blog/hollywood-prospectus/post/_/id/87631/dexters-terrible-final-season-and-how-breaking-bad-ruined-the-series. I'm about halfway through season 8 and I'm going to finish Dexter because I made it this far, but if I could go back in time, I would have just stopped after season 4.

So now I know the primary plot point of Dexter Season 2. So much for that.

I probably wasn't going to watch it anyway.

Giovanni Ribisi is usually pretty good too.

    I saw previews of:

Trophy Wife and We Are Men... Both have great casts, both shows are pretty awful.

You must have low standards for a "great" cast.

Why would you read it if you haven't seen Dexter?

Great might be a overstating it. Just a tad. But both of those shows are on our list.
