    I really liked 'The Blacklist.'

Mom. Really liked Allison Janney. But the messes of everyone else kind of ruins the concept. She's no more horrible than anyone else on the show.

I laughed when I saw the previews. Someone kidnaps the President's doctor's family and tells her to kill the President or her family will be killed?

    What a preposterous premise.

TV is filled with shows and premises that really don't happen in real life. Weird, I know.

Watched Hostages and The Black List back to back. My fear with Hostages is that it will include various dysfunctional family subplots that surgeon mom will have to "solve" before she can find a way to save her family and save the President.
The biggest surprise in The Black List was how strong the female lead was. The pen in the carotid was a nice touch.

I really liked the premiere. Every person on the show is a trainwreck and I think that's the point.

Delightfully politically incorrect. Janney is great. I'm generally not a big Anna Faris fan, but I thought she was pretty good here...

Yeah, I understand that - just not a fan of Lorre. And they need to tone down the laugh track, they were cranking it up before the jokes even landed.

Yeah, there are some similarities between this show and Two and a Half Men, especially having very young kids doing things and talking about things that most would deem inappropriate, but that's part of why it's funny, even if it's a cheap laugh.

I think Fox tried to jump on the "Once Upon a Time"/"Grimm" bandwagon and then let the X-Files people sneak in the backdoor. We get: "Sleepy Hollow"
Trying to like it, I fear I am going to take it off my DVR list.

I've watched both episodes of 'Sleepy Hollow.' I'll give it one or two more tries, but I'm not crazy about it.
I watched the first season of 'Grimm' but never went back.
I watched the premier of 'Once Upon a Time' and never went back. Thought it was terrible.

'Sleepy Hollow' is a good one for me to watch when I've got nothing to better to watch and the other person in the house is watching some type of dancing or housewife or other program with which I refuse to be in the same room.

I was more than a little disappointed that John Cho and Clancy Brown didn't make it to episode 2 of Sleepy Hollow. It reminds me of Alcatraz. Probably won't make it regular viewing.
Hostages got stomped by The Black List. On a side note, I wish more 1-hour dramas premiered with a two-hour "movie."

My candidate for first casualty of the season is Ironside. Just nothing outstanding about it.
