I don't mean this in a derogatory way, but the "nerd audience" is one that is very lucrative to advertisers because not only do they fit the demos that advertisers want, they also spend a lot of money.

It was fine for one episode, but I may feel differently when they have to do it without Maria Hill.

Could go a lot of directions if they try to use Daisy Johnson, who has powers and has even been an Avenger in the comics. I guess Abigail Brand would fit if they dealt aliens. Her assholishness would play will off Agent Ward.

I assume that we will be seeing some characters from the comics along the way. Damage Control would be a natural. Perhaps Danny Rand (Iron Fist). They certainly made it look like Mike Peterson from the pilot could turn out to be Luke Cage, though that could have just been a fake-out to have some fun with the fans.

I'd like to see the most recent version of Ares show up. He bailed on Olympus and tried to make a life for himself and his son on Earth because he didn't want to let Zeus fuck up his kid.. Even took a job as a construction worker. (Of course, he got sucked into Norman Osborne's Avengers and ended up dead, but that came later).

And yes, I am a nerd. Thanks for noticing :)

I liked it, especially Maggie Lawson.

But I'm not sure if it'll be around in a few weeks.

Liked the Robin Williams show more than I thought I would. It showed a bit of a soul. James Wolk was fabulous.

Anyone watch the two episodes of Michael J. Fox show? I want to like it but the first two episodes just weren't that good. It's almost like they're trying too hard.

There's a lot of that going around this Fall. I really like some of the casts, but the material underserves.

Couldn't make it past the "I need a beer" moment, about 7 minutes into the debut.

You don't move much, do you? Let's call it a hunch. That's when most people shed aging gadgets, even if they mostly work. Garage sales become excuse to do the "out with the old, in with the new once we're in the new place" thing. Lot of stuff I no longer have just didn't make the cut of am-I-willing-to-box-up-and-carry-that-thing-to-the-next-place.

Any love or hate for "Ray Donovan" here?

I DVRed the series, watched everything up till the last 2 episodes in 2-3 sittings, then watched the last two in the weeks they aired. Loved Jon Voight's work and thought Liev Shreiber was better than I expected.
A hoot seeing Steven Bauer so long removed from "Scarface." But an awfully high body count for a show not set amongst the mob or cops.

I didn't go back through 27 pages, so if this is a d_b, sorry.

But if you're not watching "Low Winter Sun" on AMC you're missing out on a great show.

I really liked it. I mentioned it earlier on this thread, but Jon Voight's character was awesome. He was hilarious.

I watched one episode of Low Winter Sun. Just didn't like it. I've heard the ratings are terrible.

I thought the Michael J. Fox show was pretty disappointing... Stunt casting Tracy Pollan was a bad move.

I liked The Crazy Ones a lot more than I expected and probably more than I should have.
