Great show. I remembered him from Game of Thrones.

"White Lotus" on HBO Max; watched Ep. 1, found it entertaining.

I watched too, kinda slow but I made it through. More TV evidence that rich people are dicks, especially the main character. Maybe the only show I've ever seen where a character - about the only likeable one in the entire cast, except for maybe the "That Thing You Do" guitar player - graduated from SUNY Potsdam, which is as far off the beaten track as you can get in New York State.

Friends gets called out on it a lot, but you ever look back on shows from the '70s and '80s and wonder how they were able to get away with an all-white cast, particularly where some shows were based? Taxi? Dallas? The Bob Newhart Show? The West Wing (until they added Charlie after being called out on it in the pilot)...

Which Bob Newhart, the psychologist in Chicago (70’s) or the Inn Keeper in Vermont. Not a lot of diversity in an Inn in Vermont.

Taxi could have found a black comedian though Danny DeVito’s character couldn’t have been as insulting if there was a black character. They couldn’t let Louie say things to a ‘minority’ driver that he said to the other characters.

Dallas? Too early for an interracial romance. Though JR would hit anything hot.

Friends, Aisha Taylor should have somehow been made a recurring or regular character. She’s funny and hot.

"Newhart" was Vermont, the Bob Newhart Show was Chicago - and he had another one "Bob" (though it was never spelled out where that one was set, seemed like Chicago or NY).

Started on fourth season of "Snowfall". I pretty much forget everything that happened but I'll keep going.

Shoot I'm starting out with s4 of Animal Kingdom, trying to remember which son is the druggie, which one is the gay one and which one is the smart one. I'm amazed this crew which seems like it would have a hard time ordering a pizza is so good at pulling bank heists.

I never heard that story, but it doesn't surprise me given the political target audience. People definitely would have raised more of a fuss now.

Charlie wasn't introduced until the third episode. Apparently "a similar character" was part of the original draft of the pilot episode, but was cut. Fun fact: the person who referred him to Josh Lyman for the aide position was the character eventually played by Lily Tomlin.
